Welcome to The Avenues! This historic neighborhood established in the 1850s is known for its architecture and progressive community attitude. In the Lower Aves, you’ll discover Victorian era “Painted Ladies” with vibrant colors and curved architecture as well as twentieth century Tudors with pitched roofs and jettied first floors. In the Upper Aves, you’ll find newly renovated contemporary minimalist styling and spectacular skyline views. These unique architectural properties reflect not only the neighborhood’s history and growth over the years but the diversity and character of the people who live here.
High Quality of Life
Proximity to the University of Utah and downtown make The Avenues the ideal neighborhood for someone looking to reduce their green footprint. A higher home cost per square foot reflects this convenience, but quality of life makes up for the trade off.
Schools in The Avenues

Elementary schools inside the neighborhood include the Madeleine Choir School, Wasatch Elementary, Ensign Elementary, and the Salt Lake Open Classroom charter school. Nationally acclaimed private schools The McGillis School, Rowland Hall and Judge Memorial are a short drive away.
