Pumpkin spice everything, gourds, blanket scarves, and lots of Yalecrest October happenings. What’s not to love about Autumn? Here are two can’t-miss Yalecrest fall events to mark on your calendar.

Laird Park Halloween Carnival

****UPDATE: DUE TO COLD WEATHER, THE CARNIVAL IS MOVING INSIDE TO THE YALECREST CHURCH AT 1035 S 1800 E****

Save the date for the annual Laird Park Halloween Carnival, Tuesday, October 29th 5:30-7:30 pm. Enjoy free crafts, games, fall treats, candy, and the can’t-miss annual costume parade.

The witches always need an extra hand (or eyeball) to brew up this event. Sign up to help with games, crafts, food, setup, cleanup or money donations.

RUDY Foundation Fundraiser

Pick a Pumpkin and do some good at this year’s annual RUDY (Relief for Underprivileged and Disadvantaged Youth) fundraiser at Davis Park. McKay and Sara Batement are hosting the event and all proceeds benefit Casa Hogar El Amor De Dios, an orphanage in Arequipa, Peru. Mark your calendars for Monday, October 14th from 5:00-7:30 pm.
