Laird Park Under a Harvest Moon

A brilliant Harvest Moon heralded the successful return of Laird Park Music & Movie Night 2021. Concert goers gathered on blankets and chairs to enjoy the jazzy tunes of the Summit Big Band and savor the fare of Yuchi Crispy Crepes and Burgers on Wheels. Tim Roberts twisted balloons into whimsical hats all evening (and past close) to the delight of all. Brent from Timeless Design & Jewelry, and his family, served up free snow cones to an appreciative crowd. Those who arrived early scored tart sour colas from Jolley’s and fresh movie popcorn was freely given out all night. At dusk, Pixar’s Soul began to roll and by the time the moon tipped behind the eastern mountains, moviegoers of all ages ambled back to their cars and homes under its still-golden light. It was a magical evening made more meaningful by a year of quarantine and loss. We look forward to next September and celebrating with a community we love!
