Some of the best food in Salt Lake is now being served in the heart of Yalecrest! Every Monday from now until the end of August, Jolley’s is hosting Monday Night Food Trucks. From gourmet chefs experimenting with ethnic ingredients to amped up comfort-food staples, you will be surprised with what you will find on the corner of 1300 S and 1700 E. Try cutting-edge local cuisine or offbeat takes on old-school classics. Here’s who you can expect to see at Jolley’s Monday Night Food Trucks…and what to put on your culinary bucket list!
Art City Donuts (June 10, July 22)—Tiny little donuts with custom icings from the town of Springville, Utah. Lots of flavor in these mini bites. Don’t miss tasting their Cinnabom donut. It’s called the “Bom” for a reason.
Black’s Sliders (June 24, July 22, Aug 26)—Hormone- and antibiotic-free meats from local vendors served with all-you-can drizzle sauce. Don’t miss trying their Soaker Slider: thin-slice Granny Smith apples topping smoky pork.
Bruge’s (June 17, Aug 12)—Original Liege waffles served in Salt Lake since 2014. Fan favorites include classic creme fraiche and strawberry waffle. Or for something that will really stick to the ribs, try their Pig on a Cloud with bacon, creme fraiche and caramel drizzle.
Butter Beer (June 3, June 17, July 22, Aug 26)—Harry Potter fans rejoice! Butterscotch soda topped with frothy cream is now being served in Salt Lake. Try it frozen this summer.
Clarks Malasadas (July 15, Aug 26)—Island-flavored donuts with custard or fruit fillings. Say, “Yass!” to their coconut filled malasada.
CupBop (June 3, July 15)—New trend, Korean-style take-out. Known for their custom bowls, we also recommend trying their pot stickers. Some of the best in Utah.
Freshie’s (June 17, Aug 5)—Voted the “World’s Best Lobster Roll.” Save yourself a trip to the coast and indulge yourself in what’s really a cost-saving $25-a-pop roll.
Iceberg (June 24, Aug 5)—Indulge yourself in a classic summer treat. Mix and match flavors to create you own favorite milkshake. A Utah tradition since 1960.
Maize Tacos (July 8, Aug 26)—Authentic Mexican tacos first served on State Street, now traveling around the Salt Lake Valley. Rave reviews for the carne asada, chorizo and el pastor tacos.
Melty Way (June 3, July 22)—Elevating bread and cheese with all kinds of cheeky twists. Try their Turkey Cuban or Reuben.
Monsieur Crepes (July 8, Aug 19)—Authentic french crepes delicately cradling whatever filling suits your fancy. We recommend the sweet Champs-Élysées or the savory Versailles.
Red Food Truck (July 1, July 29)—Peruvian-style sandwiches filled with savory meats and fresh veggies. Vegetarians will fall for their like-named sandwich with spiced tofu, fried onion sticks, mushrooms, mayo and Peruvian sauce. Meat eaters will gobble up the steak Lomo Saltado.
San Diablo (July 1)—Authentic churros filled with tasty cremes and fillings. Try the classic dulce de leche or order off the “secret” menu for something with a little kick to it.
Spuds Loaded (Aug 12)—Definitely not your mother’s fat-free baked potato. Load up on savory, hefty toppings like double bacon and pulled pork. Try fan favorite, the and aptly-named Miss Piggy’s Revenge. Vegetarian options as well. All gluten free.
Smoke a Billy BBQ (June 17, Aug 5, Aug 19)—Say yes to 2 sides of meat and a side of mac and cheese. Award-winning BBQ for the carnivore in all of us.
Smokin Star BBQ (July 1)—Ask Pit Boss Aaron to serve you up one of his heaping meat platters. Don’t forget to ask for an extra serving of his fully-loaded, smoked baked beans.
Suzy Thai (June 24, Aug 19)—Grandma Suzy sure knows how to rock a Massaman. If spice is your jam, try the Panang curry. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
Umani Pizza (July 8, Aug 12)—Thinking outside of the box with square wood-fired pizzas. Five of five stars for their Pancho Villa pizza.
Waffle Love (June 3, July 29)—The Belgian waffle that launched a sea of copycat recipes. Try the chicken and waffles if your leg is empty. And strawberries, cream and biscotti for the light hearted.
World’s Best Corndogs (June 10, June 24, July 15)—The best thing since the original Weinermobile first rolled in 1936. Foot-long dogs fried in homemade corn batter. Dip it in honey and mustard.
Yoshi’s (June 10, July 29)—Asian fusion rice bowls and sushi. A 2017 Food Truck Face-Off Winner. Our top-recommendations go to their Raging Bull bowl
…And don’t forget the Shiver Shack, Yalecrest’s favorite spot to hang out and grab a snow cone! Jolley’s is keeping the Shiver Shack and their doors open late on Monday nights. Check out their website for special Monday-night deals and discounts.
