Hi, I’m Hilary McDonough. I’m a Realtor at Niche Homes. I have been a resident of Highland Park for over 15 years with my family and we absolutely love living here.
A Small Town in a Big City
I like to think of Highland Park as a small town in a big city. It’s a bit of a hidden gem. There is such a strong sense of community—it is so great to be out and about in the neighborhood and see happy, familiar faces—people are so inclusive and welcoming. People tend to move here and never want to leave.
There’s a lot of pride in Highland Park and people really feel fortunate to live here. We have great restaurants, parks, shopping—all within walking distance—tucked in between streets with our big trees and charming houses.
I love our central location, right by the freeway. It really is just minutes from anywhere. We’ve got Sugarhouse Park, we’re close to the U, to Millcreek and Holladay, minutes to downtown, it’s super fast to get to the canyons and mountains. Highland Park is such a convenient location.
Why I Love What I Do
I am a third-generation real estate professional—my grandmother and both my parents worked for years in the industry. I grew up with it and developed a love for real estate at an early age. I love the opportunity to match people and families with their perfect homes, which is such a life-changing, happy decision for them.
I enjoy helping clients envision the potential for each home—whether for a buyer or a seller. It’s rewarding to see how they can polish and make it their own. Helping clients and working with them side by side is such a highlight. I feel fortunate to be doing what I love.
