Located in the heart of Sugarhouse, this luxury urban home features high ceilings, light-filled rooms and inviting living, entertaining and office spaces. An open floor plan on the main eases into spacious living and dining areas perfect for hosting large crowds or intimate dinner parties. Discover a stunning two-story staircase, formal dining room, and an impeccably-kept kitchen with floor-to-ceiling cherry cabinets, substantial island with built-in cooktop, warming drawer, double ovens, as well as Thermador and Sub Zero appliances, a wine cooler and wet bar. A window wall next to the great room and kitchen opens to a serene courtyard intermingled with mature trees (fruit and shade), koi pond, pergola-topped patio, and tiered raised vegetable beds with perennial plants and berries. A sunroom off of the kitchen delights and cheers on gray days. An original French provincial-style gas fireplace warms on cold nights.

The second floor features two bedrooms, a bathroom and an expansive master suite with soaring vaulted ceilings, two separate bathrooms, and a large walk-in closet. Be the envy of your Zoom meetings, with a 500 s.f. office off of the master suite with a separate stair access through the garage. Enjoy mountain views and sun streaming through south and east windows, and a north patio while you work.

The basement hardly feels like it is below ground with 10’ ceilings and large egress windows. Plenty of flexibility in how the basement space can be used with a large family room (previously used as a second office/studio space), two bedrooms, two storage rooms, laundry room, and full bath, as well as hookups for a kitchenette or extra laundry area. A hard-to-find attached two-car garage has plenty of room to store all your gear. New air conditioner units were added in 2018 and the entire exterior and interior repainted in 2020. Short walking distance to Emerson Elementary, Liberty Park, award-winning farm-to-table Liberty Heights Fresh, and other local restaurants and shopping. Biking distance to Sugarhouse Commons, 9th & 9th small business district, downtown and the University of Utah. Fit for the absolute highest quality of urban living!

KARLY NIELSEN

Don’t be fooled by Karly Nielsen’s easy demeanor and kind charm—she is one of the fiercest and grittiest people you will ever meet. Whether it’s running the PTA, tackling community issues such as bullying, negotiating a hard-fought contract or managing her family of six, she is a woman who can get things done. Nothing falls through the cracks with Karly, and she has a superhuman ability to inspire people to do (and succeed at) things they otherwise wouldn’t attempt. Karly and her family have lived all over the United States and together have mastered the art of moving and connecting with people from all walks of life. She currently resides in the Yalecrest neighborhood and can’t say enough good things about her community. She has a degree in Business Management from BYU and is a licensed broker in the state of Utah. When she’s not buying or selling homes, or volunteering, she’s with family and friends hiking, dirt biking, camping and climbing in the nearby Wasatch Mountains.
