Founder and Principal Broker

Don’t be fooled by Karly Nielsen’s easy demeanor and warm charm—she is one of the fiercest and grittiest people you will ever meet. Whether it’s running the local elementary PTA, tackling community issues, negotiating a hard-fought contract or managing her family of six, she is a woman who can get things done. Nothing falls through the cracks with Karly, and she has a superhuman ability to get people to do (and succeed at) things they otherwise wouldn’t. Karly and her family have moved all over the United States and together have mastered the art of moving and connecting with people from all walks of life. She currently resides in the Yalecrest Neighborhood and can’t say enough good things about this family-friendly community. She has a degree in Business Management from BYU and is a licensed broker in the state of Utah. When she’s not buying or selling homes, or volunteering, you can find her and her family hiking, dirt biking, camping and climbing in the nearby Wasatch Mountains.

Grab a Diet Coke and try to keep up with Kristin! This lady wrote the book on multitasking and is halfway through her checklist by the time most of us hit the snooze button. She is proud to be a born-and-raised South Jordaner and a Daybreak resident since 2006. With a BA in accounting from Southern Utah University and a career in the corporate finance sector, she is known for her uncanny attention to detail and being a whiz at numbers and negotiations. Her clients have included residential land developers, contractors and home builders. She can’t stress enough how important it is for those with a new construction contract to have a competent Realtor on their side during the entire process. Nothing makes Kristin happier than helping a client visualize, design and build a functionally beautiful home. Hilary McDonough

Hilary is a third-generation real estate professional with a deep love for residential real estate. She became familiar with the industry at a young age in her hometown of Palo Alto, California and moved to Salt Lake in her twenties where she earned a BA in English from the University of Utah. Since graduating, she has pursued a career in editing and freelance writing and most recently held the position of marketing director for Parade Craze, a Parade of Homes affiliate. Her very prominent artistic side has also led her to work as a watercolor artist and actor. She has represented businesses such as doTERRA, Jane.com, Cricut, and Mercedes. As a licensed Realtor, Hilary’s instinct for aesthetic potential allows her to visualize the optimal beauty of a home and eagerly assist in making that potential a reality. An Oklahoma native and a die hard crimson and cream Sooner fan, her sweet southern-belle style is matched only by her moxie. Hard working, detailed and creative, Mele Brown knows how to make things happen. Born in Long Beach, California, Mele learned at an early age to be independent and navigate the course of her own future. She is adept at expressing what she needs, and experience has taught her that communication is the cornerstone to solving any problem. Mele goes the extra mile to involve and inform her clients in every step of the home buying or selling process. You’ll often hear her say, “I’ll do whatever it takes to help my clients.” And she means exactly that. She pulls out all the staging, marketing and negotiating stops to make sure her clients get exactly what they want. This includes working as a buyer representative in new construction, an oft overlooked (but critical) part of building a new home. Mele has lived in various areas of the Salt Lake Valley, but now calls Bluffdale, Utah home. She loves her Bluffdale neighbors and can’t think of a better community to have built her dream home. Mele is married with two children. What starts as a business meeting usually ends with a shared meal or an adventure up the canyons. Cori Pugsley is a woman who wears many hats. She has traveled the world, taught yoga, managed celebrity clients, and overseen national advertising campaigns for companies such as Berkshire Hathaway, ConAgra Foods, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Zions Bancorporation. With a background in art and design, and degrees in Marketing and English, she has a discerning eye and an uncanny ability to marry creative and practical solutions. When she’s not writing, planning, designing or wrangling with her four kids, you’ll find her skiing, running, or with her nose in a newspaper or book.

Kayley Danielson

Kayley Danielson is a beach girl living the high-mountain life. Born and raised in Southern California, she and her family made an unexpected move to Salt Lake City in 2018. While her husband’s work brought her to Salt Lake City, she plans to stay put for the family-friendly way of life and great outdoors. Kayley has a background in Art History with a BS in Interior Design from the San Diego Art Institute. Her artistic eye and bent for perfectionism have bolstered her success designing model homes, public spaces and high-end residential. Kayley aspires to usher timeless, livable style to Salt Lake and is eager for her work to reflect her new hometown and her clients’ lifestyles, budgets and life circumstances. When Kayley isn’t designing homes, researching unique vendors, pinning the perfect image or chasing the latest trends on Instagram, she is exploring her new home state with her husband, daughter and miniature schnauzer.

Suzanne Kingsford

Suzanne Kingsford’s heart is firmly rooted in Salt Lake soil. She grew up in the Foothill neighborhood, graduated from East High and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Utah in English with a minor in Spanish and a teaching certificate. She spent three years daring middle school classrooms before shifting to online teaching and coaching. Her time has since been spent raising three children, teaching to piano students of all ages, and traveling the world coaching companies like Deloitte. Chances are you’ve seen Suzanne in the cheering section at her family’s many games and musical events. Or you’ve met her volunteering at Clayton, Indian Hills, or Bonneville, where she also teaches music once a week. When she’s not getting things done to the soundtrack of an audiobook, you can find her running, skiing or dreaming up her next world adventure.

They say, “coming home is one of the most beautiful things.” Born and raised in Eastern Europe, Polina has carried beauty and home with her throughout her life and across borders. At her core, is the powerful belief that home is not just a place we reside, but a place where we hold and evoke our strongest emotions. Her interest in art and clothing design as a young child drew her into years of academic art study in Europe and led her to study in the United States at the age of 19. Currently, Polina, or Polie as she prefers to be called, lives in Salt Lake City with her husband and two children. Her art and design has taken on a whole new layer of meaning since having a family of her own. Creating an atmosphere of beauty and peace is her passion, and it seems to trail her wherever she goes.

Marie Jefferies

Marie Jefferies has reason to be grounded. Raised by adventurous parents, her childhood was filled with trips to Utah’s many wondrous places. She carried wonder with her to college where she received a BS in Anthropology and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Utah. For years, she worked with adults with disabilities and children in foster care. Most recently, she has been teaching her two sons to savor each day and take every opportunity for outdoor adventure. Her love for the outdoors is only equalled by her gentle temperament. She has a knack of putting anyone at ease, especially if you find yourself on the other side of her lens. Marie is proud of being a Utah native and lifelong Salt Laker and is an enthusiastic ambassador of her hometown. When she’s not forging the trails and scenic byways of Utah’s National Parks (Capitol Reef is her favorite, by the way), you can find Marie exploring the shores of Maine or California, and hiking, camping and skiing every chance she gets.

Lisa Dyer is our resident Jersey Girl, whose boundless enthusiasm and authentically positive nature bring an element of joy and energy to the Niche Homes team. A perennial prankster with a subtle sense of humor, people meeting Lisa for the first time quickly find themselves at ease and having fun. Her joyful persona accompanies a very sharp, driven personality with decades of corporate marketing experience and tough-as-nails, second-generation Italian fortitude. She earned a BA in Communications from Kean University before launching her career in pharmaceutical product management. After relocating to Utah with her husband in 2004, Lisa continued her career as Product Manager with Franklin Covey Business Solutions and then as a freelancer in online marketing. When she isn't espousing the virtues of Salt Lake's many beautiful and unique communities through our social media channels, Lisa can be found heading up the PTA at her girls' school, hiking, biking, playing golf, reading, and otherwise immersing herself in the diverse beauty of the Western United States. Lisa and her family have lived in the Yalecrest area of Salt Lake City since 2004.
